CRUTCHLOW CLAIMS POINTS FINISH AT ALCAÑIZ GP

Cal Crutchlow had to settle for 11th place in Sunday’s Grand Prix of Teruel at the MotorLand Aragon circuit. In sunny, clear conditions in north-east Spain, the LCR Honda CASTROL rider was unable to find the rhythm he’d demonstrated during free practice and qualifying and was ultimately denied a top-10 finish on the line.

Departing from seventh on the grid, the Briton lost some places from the start and was lapping in tenth in the early stages. He battled hard throughout, but was couldn’t climb back through the field and was edged out for tenth at the chequered flag by Ducati’s Danilo Petrucci.
