Cal Crutchlow will look to build on his superb runner-up finish at Phillip Island in this weekend’s Malaysian Grand Prix at Sepang. The LCR Honda CASTROL rider heads into the fourth and final flyaway race of the 2019 MotoGP calendar in high spirits after his stunning exploits in Australia last time out.

Having sustained a serious injury at Phillip Island 12 months previously, Crutchlow enjoyed a near perfect return as he followed home HRC colleague Marc Marquez to secure a Honda 1-2. Having celebrated his 34thbirthday this week, the Briton will now look to mark it in style with another positive result in Malaysia.

#35 Cal Crutchlow

“We never had the best feeling in winter tests at Sepang when we were at the learning stage with the 2019 bike. This weekend we will try to make the bike as calm as possible at Sepang. I’m looking forward to riding here and seeing how much we’ve improved it since pre-season testing. Then to Valencia, where after the last race we’ll start working at building the 2020 bike.”
